black/white/yellow e-paper displays grow to 12.23

The 12.2in tri-colour e-paper display – the yellow you see in the image might not match the product’s yellow.

“E-paper displays are an increasingly popular choice for signage in locations with no mains power, thanks to their ability to operate for months or even years on a single battery,” said the firm. “The addition of yellow to the colour palette adds greater flexibility.”

Displays are sunlight viewable, and use is expected where information must be dynamic, but only changes infrequently – for example: office meeting room schedules, bus stop real-time departure boards, retail signage and museum information.

Both the 7.4 (126dpi) and 12.2-inch (960 x 768 103dpi) models have and internal timing controller to reduce the amount of peripheral circuitry required.

Active Area of the 12.2in version is 237.6 x 190.08mm, and the module is 251 x 204 – and thin at 1.3mm.

Looking at the company website suggests that black/white/red versions are also available in both sizes.

‘Blind box’ is a phrase in the image. According to our office Japanese speaker, this means there are several types to collect, and that phrase means that you never know which version you are going to get in the package.
